We identified our Expected Product – that product which the customer is getting from his best supplier and will expect other suppliers to follow. The team also uncovered potential Augmented Product elements – the products which is unique, a step beyond presently offered, but that helps the customer meet his future needs and remain competitive. A second round of validation interviews expanded the original survey to include new regions and new customer types. The results confirmed initial conclusions and provided new data.

A concerted effort was made to quantify each trend identified and to obtain both the customer’s business metrics and our own solution driving metrics. Lastly, the core product roadmap was established based on projected performance requirements.
